Irka Kozelko presently resides in Minneapolis, Minnesota with her husband Carl Swanson and their two children Daniel and Roxanna.

The artistic gifts she shares are inspired by her Ukrainian Heritage. Her natural talents were influenced and nurtured by her mother, Maria. When creating new designs she recalls images of embroidery, egg painting, symbols of nature, the Ukrainian culture, and religious tradition. She translates these images to multi-media artforms; water color, charcoal, and ink introducing many textures and styles.
